Release Notes: SST Driver for Windows 2000
1. Added the baud rate of 5600
2. Added support for the following new board types:
- SST - 4P Pwr
- SST - 8P Pwr
- SST - 4P RJ
- SST - 8P RJ
- SST - 4I Pwr
- SST - 8I Pwr
- SST - 4I RJ
- SST - 8I RJ
- SST – MM4P
- SST - MM8P
3. Added support for EquiView Plus and supporting files.
4. Added support for the Digital Modem Pool (consistent with the 4.13 NT driver release).
5. Updated the DMP services software to support smart download of DMP modems.
NOTES:
- Modem code is not loaded into the DMP modems if the software detects that the modem does not require a software download.
- When installing the driver, it is recommended that the user perform an update to the Multiport Serial device. This will ensure that the correct files are properly copied and installed. The update only needs to be performed to one adaper if there are more than one in the server.
- This version of the driver is not digitally signed. When upgrading or installing, the Hardware Wizard will display a message box asking the user to accept/reject the install of the driver. Accept the install and proceed with the install/upgrade process.
NOTE: To turn off this messaging, do the following:
- Click the Start Button
- Go to the Control Panel/Settings/System icon
- Select the Hardware Tab
- Select the Driver Signing button
- Select the Ignore button.
- DMP modems will not be auto discovered when the DMP is attached to a SST board.
You must add the modems using the Modem Wizard.
- Under some cases you will be prompted for a reboot after installing new hardware.
- You must power off the DMP when updating to the 5.10.2.2 driver revision or above.
